The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time.

Common Side Effects

  • Vomiting (33% children)
  • Headache (32% adults, 18% children)
  • Diarrhea (23% adults, 18% children)
  • Stomach pain (23% adults, 18% children)
  • Nausea (19% adults)
  • Fever (15% adults, 36% children)
  • Rash (15% adults, 20% children)

Oxbryta serious side effects

Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the following.

Serious allergic reaction: rash, trouble breathing, swelling of lips, tongue, or face
