What is chlorothiazide/reserpine?
Chlorothiazide/reserpine is made up of two medications that both lower your blood pressure. Chlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that works in the kidneys to remove extra water, which lowers blood pressure and gets rid of swelling. Reserpine is a Rauwolfia alkaloid that works by lowering the levels of certain chemicals in your body that can raise your blood pressure.
