At GoodRx, we develop groundbreaking products that simplify our convoluted healthcare system so Americans can access the resources they need to live their healthiest lives. That’s why we’re honored to be recognized by Fast Company as a finalist on their Best Workplaces for Innovators 2023 list in the health and wellness category.
The Best Workplaces for Innovators list, now in its fifth year, recognizes companies with cultures of innovation that encourage their employees to think creatively, experiment, and invent.
Our research team – GoodRx Research – is an example of this culture in action. The team tracks drug prices, analyzes medication fill trends, and uncovers inequities in the U.S. healthcare system.
The small but mighty group is self-directed and has buy-in from the highest levels of the organization. This level of freedom and trust allows them to do what other research departments can’t: Release high-quality, population-level health insights with the swiftness of a startup.
Case in point: Our team is passionate about investigating healthcare deserts. These are areas across the country that lack access to basic healthcare, like hospitals and emergency rooms, or specialized care like cardiologists or mental health care providers. Their research has uncovered that 80% of the country lacks basic access to care — a staggering statistic that makes our mission to improve affordable access to healthcare even more timely.
Outside of the research team, we have numerous programs that encourage diverse perspectives and innovation across the company, including community resource groups, unconscious bias training, regular employee recognition, unlimited PTO, and more. Creating a culture where all employees can safely share their perspectives and are empowered to think outside the box helps us to deliver on our mission.
Being included on the Best Workplaces for Innovators list is an honor and adds fuel to our fire to continue making the healthcare industry more transparent and affordable.
