Typhoid

Typhoid is a bacterial infection that causes fever and diarrhea. Other symptoms include fatigue, rash, headache, and cough. It can be contracted through contaminated food and water.

Treatment for typhoid includes hospitalization, staying hydrated, surgery, and taking antibiotics. Common drug classes used to treat typhoid are quinolone antibiotics and tetracycline antibiotics. Vaccinations can also be given.
