Tick-borne Encephalitis

Comprehensive information for you or a loved one — including treatment options and discounts on popular medications.

Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is a virus that is spread through the bite of an infected tick. Symptoms of TBE include fever, vomiting, and headache.

There is no medication that treats TBE directly. Those affected can use over the counter medications to treat symptoms. However, vaccination can prevent infection.
