Mastocytosis Medications

CROMOLYN helps manage the symptoms of mastocytosis, a condition that causes the body to produce too many mast cells. It works by reducing the release of substances in your body that cause symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, flushing, itching, and headache. It belongs to a group of medications called mast cell stabilizers.

IMATINIB treats some types of cancer. It works by blocking a protein that causes cancer cells to grow and multiply. This helps to slow or stop the spread of cancer cells.

Imkeldi is part of the Kinase Inhibitors class and treats Mastocytosis, Skin Cancer and Leukemia. Kinase inhibitors are used to treat cancers such as leukemia, breast cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, and renal cancer. They are also used to prevent organ transplant rejection. They work by stopping cancer cell growth and preventing the spread of the cells. Imkeldi is only available as a brand name drug.
