Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) refers to a group of genetic disorders affecting the adrenal glands. CAH can lead to lower levels or a complete absence of certain adrenal hormones. It can also result in atypical genitalia, abnormal growth and infertility. Treatment depends on the severity of the condition but can include hormone replacement and androgen lowering therapies.
