Pyridostigmine ER is part of the Cholinesterase Inhibitors class and treats Myasthenia Gravis and Chemical Poisoning. Cholinesterase inhibitors are used to treat Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, myasthenia gravis, and lice. They work by improving memory, controlling movement, improving muscle strength, and destroying lice and eggs. Pyridostigmine ER is only available as a generic drug.
Atropen (atropine) is used to treat insecticide or mushroom poisoning. Atropen is an anticholinergic, which works by relaxing muscles in the body to control spasms. Atropen is available as an autoinjector. There are currently no generic alternatives for Atropen. It is covered by some medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.
