Candidiasis is an infection caused by a type of Candida fungus. Candidiasis is most common as a yeast infection, oral thrush, or diaper rash, but it can also affect skin and nails.
Treatment for candidiasis includes taking medication. Common drug classes used to treat candidiasis are azole antifungals, echinocandin antifungals, nucleoside analogue antifungals, polyene antifungal / corticosteroid combinations, and polyene antifungals.
