Experience

Nicole E. Cieri-Hutcherson, PharmD, BCPS, NCMP, has over a decade of experience as a pharmacist, professor, and researcher. She was a full-time clinical professor in the pharmacy practice department at D’Youville School of Pharmacy before subsequently joining the faculty of the pharmacy practice department at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has worked as a clinical pharmacist at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and currently practices as a clinical pharmacist at Buffalo General Medical Center, where she also performs rounds on an acute care internal medicine teaching service. 

Cieri-Hutcherson specializes in internal medicine and reproductive/women’s health. She is licensed to practice in New York and is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a North American Menopause Society certified menopause practitioner. 

Cieri-Hutcherson is an officer for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the Women’s Health Practice Research Network (PRN). She is also an active member of the PRN’s research and advocacy team. She is a board member for the New York State Council of Health Systems Pharmacy (NYSCHP). She serves NYSCHP as the director of education and professional development and develops in-person and webinar-based continuing educational content.

Cieri-Hutcherson has more than two dozen publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has 18 refereed abstracts/presentations and more than 40 additional abstracts/presentations. She has written three book chapters on different reproductive health topics. Cieri-Hutcherson has received several awards related to her teaching and student precepting.

Education

Cieri-Hutcherson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University at Buffalo. She then went on to pharmacy school, receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. After pharmacy school, Cieri-Hutcherson completed a first-year post-graduate residency in pharmacy practice at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and Kaleida Health. She went on to complete a second year of residency at Buffalo General Medical Center and Kaleida Health specializing in internal medicine and academia.
