Makita has over 15 years of pharmacy experience. She started as a certified pharmacy technician and is now a registered pharmacist. Her work experience includes retail pharmacy, centralized pharmacy services, long-term care, and mail-order pharmacy.
Makita creates health content for people with diabetes and other chronic health conditions. She is passionate about empowering people to make positive health changes.
Education
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Makita obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Christian Brothers University. She then went on to attend Union University College of Pharmacy where she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy.
