Experience

Laura is an award-winning registered dietitian and certified culinary nutritionist with over 30 years of experience. She spent the first half of her career working in clinical nutrition, helping clients manage their health through diet. She most recently worked with consumer-packaged goods companies, teaching consumers and health professionals about the nutrition benefits of canned and packaged fruits, vegetables, and seafood.

She is the owner of Laura M. Ali, LLC, which specializes in food and nutrition communications and recipe development. She loves helping people find simple and delicious ways to incorporate healthy foods into everyday meals so they can live healthy and vibrant lives.

Laura is the author of the book, “MIND Diet for Two,” a cookbook with 65 recipes for two people designed to boost brain health. She is a longstanding member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and currently serves as the editor of the Food and Culinary Dietetic Practice Group’s newsletter, “Tastings.” She received the Keystone Award in 2009 from the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for outstanding service to the profession.

Education

Laura M. Ali is a registered dietitian nutritionist. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton and her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a dietetic internship at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago.
