X-PLOR is a portable oxygen concentrator used to treat low oxygen levels due to lung problems. It's a good alternative for people who want to replace their heavier oxygen tanks since it's lighter and more compact. It can connect to a mobile app called Nomad Biometrics™ that tracks your usage, the battery life, alarms, and oxygen purity.
To improve oxygen levels in people with low oxygen due to certain lung conditions
Watch this video to learn how to set up your X-PLOR device.
The X-PLOR device comes with a rechargeable battery, replaceable cartridge, air intake filter, AC and DC power adaptors, one nasal cannula, and a carry bag.
Before using X-PLOR, make sure you're familiar with the settings and you get instructions from your provider on which settings you should use.
After you turn on the X-PLOR, it'll need to warm up for about 2 minutes. During this time, you can set your oxygen flow level as instructed by your provider. Once it's done warming up, you can connect the nasal cannula tube to the device.
When you're finished setting up X-PLOR, place the cannula in your nostrils and make sure the unit is on. Breathe like you normally would when wearing the cannula.
You can download the Nomad Biometrics™ mobile app that tracks your breath rate, pulse volume, oxygen usage, battery life, and alarm history. It connects to the X-PLOR device via Bluetooth® technology. This makes it easier to share this information with your healthcare provider.
Always keep a spare charged battery with you in case your battery runs out and you aren't able to plug your device in. This is also helpful in case of a power outage.
Whenever needed, you can clean your X-PLOR device by wiping the case with a cloth dampened with a mild liquid detergent mixed with room temperature water.
Make sure to clean your air intake filter weekly. Doing so will help air to flow through properly. You can clean the filter with the room temperature detergent and water mixture. Then rinse the filter with room temperature water. Let it dry completely before using it again.
Clean the nasal cannula (nasal tubes) regularly based on your provider's or the manufacturer's instructions. Typically, you'll need to do so weekly. This will help make sure that they're safe to use. If your nasal tubes are damaged or broken, let your provider know because you'll need to get new ones.
Ask your provider how often you need to replace the X-PLOR device and its parts. Keep track of the dates on a calendar so that your portable oxygen concentrator can continue to work well.
