Dogs may experience hearing loss due to age, ear infections, or even genetics. And in most cases, this loss of hearing happens over time. While you may not notice it at first, there comes a point where a dog will start showcasing some telltale symptoms of hearing loss.

If you think your dog is dealing with hearing loss, there are certain exams that can help officially diagnose it. Not all hearing loss can be reversed, but your veterinarian may be able to present you with options once you have a better idea of what’s causing the hearing loss.
