Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension)

Hypotension, or low blood pressure, is blood pressure that is below what is normal. This is a sign that the heart and other parts are not getting enough blood. Symptoms include blurry vision, dizziness, light-headedness, and weakness.

Low blood pressure in healthy people can go untreated, but when it is associated with shock or other conditions, treatment is crucial. A common drug class used to treat hypotension is the alpha agonist drug class.
