Black Americans may be diagnosed with schizophrenia at least twice as often compared to the general population. However, some may actually be misdiagnosed with schizophrenia instead of bipolar disorder, according to Khadijah Watkins, MD, Psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
