PROS Disorders

PROS disorders are a group of rare conditions that cause overgrowth of different body parts as a result of a mutation in the PIK3CA gene. Symptoms of this disorder vary from person to person but some examples are having low muscle tone, overgrowth in some areas of the body, and changes in the blood vessels. While there is no cure, symptoms can be improved through surgery and through taking certain medications.
