Lipodystrophy

Comprehensive information for you or a loved one — including treatment options and discounts on popular medications.

Lipodystrophy refers to an abnormal or degenerative condition of the adipose or fat tissue, also sometimes known as fat redistribution syndrome. This can involve a buildup or loss of fat in certain areas of the body, or high levels of fats or sugars in the blood. HIV medications and insulin injections can sometimes cause lipodystrophy, but it may also be a congenital condition.
