Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome, also known as LEMS is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the body's tissue. Symptoms include muscle weakness, trouble walking, eyelid dropping and trouble breathing. This condition is often associated with small cell lung cancer.
