Hepatorenal syndrome is a condition in which the kidneys stop functioning well in individuals with sever liver problems. Symptoms of hepatorenal syndrome include abdominal swelling, nausea, decreased urine output, and yellowing of the skin.

Treatments for hepatorenal syndrome include medication and surgical procedures such as a liver transplant.
