Castleman Disease

Comprehensive information for you or a loved one — including treatment options and discounts on popular medications.

Castleman disease is a rare disorder where non-cancerous growths develop on the lymph nodes. It may affect a single group of lymph nodes (localized) or multiple (multicentric).

Localized Castelman disease may be cured by removing the enlarged lymph nodes using surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation. However, multicentric Castelman disease (MCD) is more serious, and may affect other organs and weaken the immune system. There is no standard treatment for MCD, but there is one FDA approved drug (Sylvant) and several off-label options.
