Mona Bapat, PhD, HSPP, has 15 years of clinical experience providing therapy. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in Indiana and Illinois with treatment experience in individual, couples, family, and group therapy modalities. Her therapy style includes integration of interpersonal, psycho-dynamic, and multicultural theories. Her experience includes working in university counseling centers, community mental health, assisted living facilities, and private practice. Mona’s research focus and academic publications have been on issues of intimate partner violence. She currently serves as a consultant and supervisor in the mental health field in addition to writing for consumer publications.
Mona also volunteers her time making contributions to the field of psychology. She peer reviews manuscripts for the Journal of Counseling Psychology and Current Issues in Education. Mona is also passionate about social justice and has volunteered for communities as a lay legal advocate in Arizona. She has also participated in a volunteer abroad project for women in Ghana and raised money for domestic violence awareness organizations with 5K runs and giving Bharat Natyam performances for charity.
