Tanya Kertsman has been a licensed pharmacist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 13 years. She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry in medical affairs for 7 years, developing and reviewing medical content for consumers and healthcare professionals. 

She serves as an advisory board member for Twist Out Cancer, an oncology advocacy organization that provides psychosocial support for people touched by cancer. She’s also an active member of the Drug Information Association

For the past several years, Tanya has worked as a freelance writer and medical reviewer. Her writing has appeared in Well+Good, Byrdie, Doré, The Zoe Report, and Passerby

Education

Tanya Kertsman received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Rutgers University in New Jersey. After working in a community pharmacy, she completed an industry fellowship in medical information & education at Janssen Pharmaceuticals and earned a teaching certificate from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Since then, she has worked in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on medical affairs strategy.
