Dr. Leon is a physician of internal medicine specializing in nephrology in New York City. She has practiced for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and was the Public Health and Preventative Medicine Resident for the NYC NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, among others. She's also a member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Nephrology, where she served as an intern on the policy board. She's passionate about increasing accessibility to medical and patient education through social media, serving as an advisor to the Nephrology Social Media Collective and a faculty member for both NephJC (online nephrology journal club) and Nephrology Business Leadership University (NBLU). Dr. Leon has also published a children's book called "Mommy Chose Me."
Dr. Leon completed her bachelor's degree in respiratory care therapy and medical degree at Stony Brook University, her Nephrology Fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, her residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Queens, her master's degree in biomedical science at Barry University, and her MPH at CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.
