Dr. Horn is a physician and public health specialist, with experience on four continents. She specializes in anesthesia and critical care and has a particular interest in perioperative care, as well as obstetric anesthesia.

She started ChronAid, dedicated to the inclusion of chronic disease within global disaster response, and works with Child Life Disaster Relief, advocating for children’s psychosocial health in disasters.

Dr. Horn hails from the Washington, D.C. area. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, her medical degree from Temple University, and her master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her passion for improving people’s lives and health, she is an amateur photographer and mom to three wonderful children and her beloved elder pup.
