Experience

Monique Gary, DO, FACS, is a Breast Surgical Oncologist in Greater Philadelphia and is the Medical Director of the Grand View Health/Penn Cancer Network cancer program. She has previously served as Grand View Health's Director of the Breast Program and Cancer Genetics and Risk Assessment Program, as well as an adjunct professor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice. She is the CEO of Still Rise Farm, a “living, learning, laboratory” for people living with cancer who are a part of marginalized communities to receive wellness resources and support, caring for the whole body and mind. Dr. Gary is also a medical advisor to many national breast cancer advocacy organizations and is featured on Philadelphia's radioOne stations and co-hosts a weekly web series on Blackdoctor.org.

Education

Dr. Gary received her bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, and music at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, her master's of science in molecular biology and medical degree of osteopathic medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her general surgery training at the University of Massachusetts and her fellowship at Georgetown University.
