Maryanne Murphy, PhD, DVM, DACVIM (Nutrition) is a Veterinarian and Clinical Associate Professor of Nutrition at the University of Tennessee. She is currently the Chief of the Veterinary Nutrition Service at UT after completing a clinical nutrition residency and a PhD there, and was previously a clinical nutritionist in New Jersey at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. She also completed a rotating internship in New York City at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists.

Education

Dr. Murphy received her dual bachelor's degrees in animal and biological sciences at Rutgers University, her doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) at Iowa State University, and her PhD in comparative and experimental medicine at the University of Tennessee.
