Leslie Brooks, DVM, MPH, graduated from the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She also got specialty and emergency training in specialty and emergency small animal medicine through an internship program. With a passion for preventative care, she transitioned into general practice and then opened her own house-call veterinary practice in central Indiana. She also dedicates much of her time to serving those in her community who need a little extra help with veterinary care through the Street Outreach Animal Response Initiative. She enjoys writing, reading nonfiction, traveling, and riding her bicycle. She currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana.
