Katherine C. Gilyard is a former Kaiser Health News intern. She uses her expertise in journalism and biology to make health information digestible and inclusive. In addition to public health work in pharmacology labs, Katherine was an inaugural fellow to the Urban Health Media Project and worked on Howard University’s Kerner Commission Project.

Her goal is to make public health more accessible and combat disinformation.
