Experience

Julia is a clinical hematology/oncology pharmacist working in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has 3 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist at academic medical centers, with 2 years at National Comprehensive Cancer Network member hospitals. She currently practices as an inpatient hematology/oncology pharmacist, caring for hospitalized patients with a wide range of cancers. She is a member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association.

Julia has engaged in preclinical research in academic labs and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as health-system pharmacy and pharmacy education research. She has presented research at the American Chemical Society, American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and American Society of Hematology. She has also published research in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy

Education

Julia completed her doctorate in pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco. She then moved to Salt Lake City for first year postgraduate pharmacy residency training at University of Utah Health, and completed a second year of specialty training in hematology/oncology pharmacy at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Prior to her pharmacy training, she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry at Harvey Mudd College.
