Experience

Jenni Gritters is a journalist with a decade of experience writing about parenting, purchasing, psychology, and health. Jenni was previously a full-time editor at MedTech Boston, Upworthy, and Wirecutter. In 2018, she went into business for herself and has since written for dozens of top-tier publications, including the New York Times, the Guardian, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and beyond.

Jenni is also a certified professional coach through the International Coaching Federation. She works with self-employed creatives to help them build businesses that allow them to support their health. She has spoken about this work at several conferences, including the Parenting Journalists Conference and the Narrative Journalism Conference, and is often interviewed on podcasts. Jenni previously co-hosted a popular business podcast called The Writers' Co-op.

These days, you can often find Jenni hiking in the mountains with her two young children and her husband. She teaches about the psychology of self-employment in her Substack newsletter, Mindset Mastery.

Education

Jenni completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Bucknell University in 2012. She finished her master’s degree in communications, with a focus on science journalism, at Boston University in 2013. Jenni is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and a certified professional coach (through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching) who focuses on business development and mental health.
