India B. Gomez, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with a certificate in Latin American Family Therapy. She completed her doctoral education at the California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant International University. Her clinical experience includes working in schools, residential treatment centers, and community mental health to provide therapy, case management, psychological testing, and behavioral health consultation. She has worked with clients of all ages from numerous intersecting ethnic, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, as well as diverse genders, sexual orientations, and disabilities. Dr. Gomez currently runs a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has conducted research looking at discrimination, acculturative stress, depression, and distress in Cuban immigrants. She has also done research evaluating an equine therapy program for veterans with trauma-related symptoms.
Dr. Gomez enjoys spending time with friends and family, spending time with her three animals (two cats and a horse), traveling, and Cuban dance and music.
