Ijeoma Azonobi, MD, is board-certified in preventive medicine and public health, and she also has a master’s in public health. Originally from Philadelphia, she moved to Atlanta, where she received her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed 3 years of obstetrics and gynecology residency at Duke University Medical Center. She returned to her alma mater to complete her preventive medicine clinical training. She spent 2 years in the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she trained in applied epidemiology.

Her professional interests include women’s health, unhealthy weight, and health disparities. She enjoys merging her creative interests with her professional interests to communicate evidence-based information in ways that are easily accessible and understandable.
