Hindu Rao, PharmD, APh, BCACP is a clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Chapman University School of Pharmacy and a clinical pharmacist at Providence Medical Foundation. She specializes in chronic disease management and has her board certification in ambulatory care. She teaches first-year pharmacy students at Chapman University and is a preceptor for third-year pharmacy students in her ambulatory care clinic.
Her research has been published in multiple academic journals, such as Pharmacotherapy, Journal of Contemporary Pharmacy Practice, and The Senior Care Pharmacist. She’s also a member of the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society, American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP).
She’s passionate about implementing more pharmacist-led services in primary care settings and educating the next generation of leaders. In her free time, she volunteers at an education-focused non-profit called Learn To Be.
Hindu Rao earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the University of California, San Francisco. After graduation, she completed her residency training in ambulatory care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Network. During her residency, she obtained a teaching certificate through Chapman University School of Pharmacy.
