Hilary Weissman has been a health writer for the past 6 years. She was a senior copywriter at WW (Weight Watchers) before joining GoodRx and was also a copy editor in S&P Global’s structured finance ratings group for 3 years prior.
Hilary is passionate about women’s health advocacy, financial wellness, LGBTQIA+ rights, public policy, social justice, and education through the arts. She is also a strong advocate for destigmatizing mental illness.
Hilary is currently a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists. Her work has been published by HealthiNation (in Spanish, as well), WW, The Knockturnal, Paste Magazine, Moment Magazine, and Patch.com. Hilary is also a poll worker for the NYC Board of Elections and has volunteered on city, state, and national campaigns.
Hilary received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism, news/editorial-print with a concentration in magazine journalism from the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism in 2012. She completed her Spanish minor through the school’s program at the University of Alcalá, Alcalingua in the Madrid region of Spain.
