Ferras Bashqoy, PharmD, BCCCP, BCPPS, is a clinical pharmacotherapy specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital in New York City. His favorite part of the job is working with preterm newborns because they are strong and mighty despite their size.
Ferras serves as a preceptor for postgraduate pharmacy residents at NYU and is involved with research. Additionally, he serves as co-chair of the Pediatric P&T Committee, which assists with safe medication use in the hospital. Ferras is also a member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association.
Ferras received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado while working as a pharmacy intern at Children’s Hospital Colorado. He completed his first-year postgraduate residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and second-year postgraduate residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in pediatrics and critical care.
