Experience

Denise has been on the consumer health beat for over 20 years. Most recently, she was an executive editor at Everyday Health. She’s held staff editorial positions at More magazine and Martha Stewart Living, Inc., and has continued to work as a freelance writer throughout her career. She is a member of various professional organizations, including the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ). 

When she’s not at her computer working, Denise is probably outside gardening or raising money (and awareness) about the need for equity in youth sports. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and teenage son.

She holds a B.A. in journalism and women’s studies from New York University (NYU).
