Dr. McClung is a board-certified emergency physician with over 15 years of clinical experience. He was the emergency medical director of a 200-bed Federal Medical Station treating COVID-19 patients. He also teaches molecular microbiology and immunology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

He completed a Master of Philosophy in epidemiology at the University of Cambridge. He has authored manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals on CPR and neuro-resuscitation, and he holds several patents on diagnostic cardiac devices. The San Diego County Medical Society has honored him as “Top Doc” since 2016, and the Kaiser Emergency Medicine Residency has granted him multiple teaching awards.
