Experience

Blair Hammond, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who is an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics at Mount Sinai.

In 2008, Dr. Hammond founded the Mount Sinai Faculty Practice General Pediatrics Associates where she still practices today. She has received many awards including the Mount Sinai Excellence in Teaching Award, Top Doctors from New York Magazine, and Exceptional Women In Medicine award.

From 2006 to 2017, Dr. Hammond was the pediatric clerkship and sub-internship course director at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Now, she is the co-founding director and director of medical education for the Mount Sinai Parenting Center. Along with her general pediatric practice, she is still involved in medical student and resident education.

Education

Blair Hammond, MD, received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She also completed her medical training at Dartmouth–Hitchcock Medical Center and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society.

Dr. Hammond then completed a residency training in pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she received the Clinician-Educator Award. Following her residency, she completed a medical education fellowship at the same institution.
