Belinda is a board-certified oncology pharmacist with more than 6 years of clinical experience. She is an inpatient and ambulatory hematology pharmacy specialist at Emory Winship Cancer Institute, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Georgia. Her focus is leukemia and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
Belinda is an involved member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) and the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association (NCODA). She also serves as a peer reviewer for Journal of Hematology Oncology Pharmacy (JHOP).
In addition, she is an adjunct professor at Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta and precepts pharmacy students and residents in oncology. She enjoys challenging them to make clinical decisions.
Belinda graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She completed her postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville and postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) oncology pharmacy residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center/HCA/Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
After that, she was an oncology pharmacy specialist at TriStar Centennial Medical Center for a year before moving to Atlanta to practice as an inpatient and ambulatory hematology pharmacy specialist at Emory Winship Cancer Institute.
