Dr. Anthony Cull is originally from the Chicago area. After completing his undergraduate education at Northwestern University, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Fiji. He went on to medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and then moved to beautiful Portland, Oregon for psychiatry residency at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). He joined the faculty at OHSU and has been teaching medical students and psychiatry residents for over a decade.

He has a passion for cross-cultural psychiatry and as attending faculty in OHSU's Intercultural Psychiatry Program, has worked with diverse immigrant and refugee populations from Laos, Bosnia, Eritrea, Iran, Nepal, and Burma, among others. He has lectured at international conferences including the World Psychiatric Association Section on Transcultural Psychiatry, the World Association of Cultural Psychiatry, and the Society for the Study of Psychiatry and Culture.

He also maintains a private psychiatry practice in Portland. In his free time, he enjoys hunting for waterfalls of the Pacific Northwest with his two sons, exploring the Portland food truck scene, and performing theater and sketch comedy.
