Angela Haupt is a freelance journalist with nearly 15 years of health journalism experience. She was previously the managing editor of health at U.S. News & World Report, where she worked for 11 years. While there, she led a team that covered wellness and conditions, and she helped develop and then continued to oversee the Best Diets rankings. She also oversaw the editorial packages around big franchises such as Best Hospitals, Best Nursing Homes, and Best Health Insurance.
Beyond U.S. News, Angela worked as a health editor at TIME and contributed to publications such as The Washington Post, Forbes Health, and Everyday Health.
Angela has a bachelor's degree in journalism from The Pennsylvania State University. She has completed numerous fellowships throughout her career, including: The Association of Health Care Journalists' CDC Fellowship, the National Press Foundation's Heart Beat Fellowship, and the Mayo Clinic Journalism Residency.
