Allison Landa hasbeen a writer my entire life and has worked as a freelance writer for more than two decades. She is currently a teacher with the Writing Salon in San Francisco. My memoir, “Bearded Lady,” was published by Woodhall Press in October 2022. The is the recipient of a City of Berkeley Civic Arts Grant and several artist residencies.
Allison received an MFA in creative writing from St. Mary's College of California in 2006. Before that, she earned a BA in political science and anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996. She has held artist residencies at MacDowell, Playa Summer Lake, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, and the Julia and David White Artists Colony.
