Alexandra Sumner, JD, is an attorney and freelance writer who practices in the healthcare and privacy space. She has both a Certified Information Privacy Professionals/United States (CIPP/US) certification and a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM). She enjoys analyzing the relationship between healthcare technology and privacy, and specializes in explaining complex topics to an everyday audience.
Her work has appeared in the American Bar Association, American Health Law Association, and Business Insider publications. She is a member of the American Bar Association, American Health Law Association, and International Association of Privacy Professions.
Education
Alexandra has a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Valparaiso University and a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
