Alexandra Goletka, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in anxiety, depression, resilience, and parenting. Dr. Goletka’s clinical training began at North Central Bronx Hospital. There, she gained knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment, and research of severe psychopathology.
Dr. Goletka maintains a private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, working with adolescents, parents, and young adults. She is passionate about working with parents and children in a collaborative, nonjudgmental setting.
Dr. Goletka also is the founder of the Parent Psychology Practice, a mental health practice that specializes in supporting new and expecting parents. Prior to her private practice, Dr. Goletka was a school psychologist at an independent school in Manhattan and an adjunct supervisor at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.
Dr. Goletka is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. She completed her postdoctoral training at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital (Mount Sinai) in their child and adolescent outpatient facility. There she was trained to treat personality disorders, trauma, substance abuse, mood and anxiety disorders, and developmental disorders. She was also able to complete training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family systems therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
