Rejoyn is the first and only smartphone app that's FDA cleared to reduce depression symptoms. It's used as an add-on treatment for people 22 years and older who are taking antidepressant medications. The app requires a prescription from a healthcare professional. Rejoyn provides lessons and brain-training exercises, and it's recommended to complete one task per day. The app works best when used regularly for 6 weeks.

Rejoyn is a smartphone application (app). It provides brain-training exercises that are thought to remodel your brain to help improve your mood. The treatment program is made of three parts:
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-based lessons
Emotional faces memory task (EFMT) exercises
Personalized reminders and messages
Different scheduling options are available for your convenience
Doesn't interact with any medications
No known side effects related to the app
Exercises can take 20-30 minutes to complete
Must use regularly for 6 weeks for best results
Not approved for people younger than 22 years old
How to use Rejoyn:
After your prescriber sends a prescription for Rejoyn to a pharmacy that provides access codes for the app, download the Rejoyn app on your smartphone. You can find it in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store under "Rejoyn."
Read the Intructions for Use before using Rejoyn and ask your prescriber if you have any questions.
After you open Rejoyn for the first time, you'll need to create your account and enter your access code.
Follow the prompts on the Rejoyn app to start your treatment program that will continue over the next 6 weeks. There are a total of 18 therapeutic lessons and 18 brain exercises that you'll need to complete during this time.
You can take as long as you need to complete brain exercises on Rejoyn. But if you're interrupted for 15 minutes or more, you'll need to restart the exercise from the beginning.
If you miss a task on Rejoyn, you can catch up by completing two tasks the next day.
At the end of each week, exercises on Rejoyn will expire and you won't be able to take them. Lessons you weren't able to complete on Rejoyn will be unlocked and you can view them at any time while you have access to the app.
For best results, make sure to complete as many of the scheduled tasks per week on Rejoyn as possible. You can set a daily notification on your smartphone that reminds you to complete daily tasks.
After 10 weeks, you won't be able to access Rejoyn anymore. Talk to your healthcare professional if you need more help treating your depression symptoms.
Rejoyn can cause some serious health issues. This risk may be even higher for certain groups. If this worries you, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about other options.
Rejoyn is meant to be used alongside an antidepressant medication. It hasn't been proven to be safe or effective to treat depression on its own. Continue taking your antidepressant(s) as prescribed by your healthcare professional while you're using Rejoyn.
Rejoyn isn't able to notify your prescriber if your depression symptoms get worse. If you feel that your depression is getting worse or if you experience suicidal thoughts or behaviors, call 911 or get medical help right away.
Rejoyn provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-based lessons and emotional faces memory task (EFMT) exercises that alternate over a 6 week period. After this time, lessons are available for you to revisit for an additional 4 weeks.
It's recommended to complete one task per day, alternating between therapeutic lessons and brain exercises. But you can't do more than two tasks per day. Your healthcare professional will work with you to create a schedule for completing the lessons and exercises in the app.
