How to use Rejoyn:

  • After your prescriber sends a prescription for Rejoyn to a pharmacy that provides access codes for the app, download the Rejoyn app on your smartphone. You can find it in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store under "Rejoyn."
  • Read the Intructions for Use before using Rejoyn and ask your prescriber if you have any questions.
  • After you open Rejoyn for the first time, you'll need to create your account and enter your access code.
  • Follow the prompts on the Rejoyn app to start your treatment program that will continue over the next 6 weeks. There are a total of 18 therapeutic lessons and 18 brain exercises that you'll need to complete during this time.
  • You can take as long as you need to complete brain exercises on Rejoyn. But if you're interrupted for 15 minutes or more, you'll need to restart the exercise from the beginning.
  • If you miss a task on Rejoyn, you can catch up by completing two tasks the next day.
  • At the end of each week, exercises on Rejoyn will expire and you won't be able to take them. Lessons you weren't able to complete on Rejoyn will be unlocked and you can view them at any time while you have access to the app.
  • For best results, make sure to complete as many of the scheduled tasks per week on Rejoyn as possible. You can set a daily notification on your smartphone that reminds you to complete daily tasks.
  • After 10 weeks, you won't be able to access Rejoyn anymore. Talk to your healthcare professional if you need more help treating your depression symptoms.

Compared to people using a different app, people using Rejoyn for 6 weeks had a greater improvement in their depression symptoms. In a clinical study, researchers used a depression rating scale to compare scores before and after treatment, where higher scores indicate more severe symptoms. After 6 weeks, People using Rejoyn had a larger drop in their scores compared to those using the other app. Follow up with your healthcare professional if you have more questions about how well Rejoyn might work for you.

In clinical studies, some people using Rejoyn noticed an improvement in their depression symptoms after 2 weeks. But, people regularly using the app continued to see improvements in their symptoms throughout the entire 6 weeks.

Rejoyn is only available with a prescription from a healthcare professional (HCP). Everyone responds differently to Rejoyn. In studies, people who used Rejoyn for 6 weeks and then stopped continued to see an improvement in their depression symptoms for up to 10 weeks. After the 6-week program ended, people were able to review the lessons they already completed for up to 4 weeks. More research is needed to understand how long the effects last after this time.

No. Rejoyn is currently only available for use on a smartphone by downloading the app. It can be used on both Apple (iOS) and Android systems. You won't be able to use Rejoyn on your computer or tablet at this time.

Not to be used alone to treat depression

Rejoyn isn't able to notify your prescriber if your depression symptoms get worse. If you feel that your depression is getting worse or if you experience suicidal thoughts or behaviors, call 911 or get medical help right away.

Typical dosage for Rejoyn

Rejoyn provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-based lessons and emotional faces memory task (EFMT) exercises that alternate over a 6 week period. After this time, lessons are available for you to revisit for an additional 4 weeks.

It's recommended to complete one task per day, alternating between therapeutic lessons and brain exercises. But you can't do more than two tasks per day. Your healthcare professional will work with you to create a schedule for completing the lessons and exercises in the app.
