Comprehensive information for you or a loved one — including treatment options and discounts on popular medications.

A skin allergy is a reaction to an allergen or irritant. Symptoms can include scaly, itchy skin, bumps, redness, blisters, welts, and rashes. It can cover the entire body or a few areas of the body.

Treatment includes taking medications, soothing and calming the skin, and treating the underlying condition causing the skin allergy. Common drug classes used to treat a skin allergy are antihistamines, corticosteroids, corticosteroid / keratolytic combinations, and skin barrier emollients.
