Comprehensive information for you or a loved one — including treatment options and discounts on popular medications.

Adrenal insufficiency occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough of the hormones cortisol or aldosterone. Symptoms include weakness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and hypoglycemia.

Treatments for adrenal insufficiency include intravenous fluids and steroids. Common drug classes used to treat adrenal insufficiency are corticosteroids and alpha agonists (ProAmatine).
