Hypokalemia is a very low level of potassium in the blood. Symptoms include irregular heart beat, fatigue, muscle weakness, and possible high blood pressure.

Treatment for hypokalemia includes medications, increasing potassium intake, and intravenous potassium replacement. Common drug classes used to treat hypokalemia are aldosterone antagonists and potassium salts.
