  • Anesthesiologist, pain physician, addictionologist

  • Interested in healthcare outcomes and economics

  • Passionate about mental health care

Writing for GoodRx is important to me because I want to help people learn about the importance of self-care and active care when they have chronic conditions, whether pain, mental health, or otherwise. In the U.S., healthcare practitioners are unfortunately incentivized to do things (prescribe medications, perform invasive procedures) to patients instead of encouraging patients to do things for themselves. Until this mentality changes in both the lay and healthcare spaces, outcomes will never be optimal.
